Since her remarkable appearance in Roger Vadim’s Vice and Virtue in 1963, Catherine Deneuve has never ceased to fascinate the world of cinema, fashion, and photography. Her cold beauty, mystery, and very Parisian elegance have made her a French icon par excellence, one who has covered Vogue France 16 times—and just this summer, she was awarded the vaunted Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 79th Venice Film Festival.
